First Kiss Is Gone Forever

Last Thursday a group of us ladies were talking about silly things and our" first kiss "came up as one of the subjects. It was so strange and sad because I had to share that I actually had just learned that just that week my "first kiss" had passed away. I was reading his legacy page where people can type a short tribute. As I read one specifically I was so torn. It read " I hope you have found the peace for which you had been searching". To think and have smack dab in your face, a reminder that we have and will come in contact with people that are still searching for the peace that comes "so easy" to us Christians. Isn't it sad that so many are still searching and many die without it. I remember when my Grandmother passed away I would think to myself "wow I know someone that is now sitting at the feet of Jesus".Though I was sad about her being gone I was also rejoicing that she was with her God. But what about when someone passes that didn't know Christ, it is then even more heart breaking. We are COMMANDED to preach the gospel, and I can not tell you how many people I come in contact with each day that I could share God's word with. Oh, how I wish I could go back 15 years ago and tell my "first kiss" about the Lord. But that time has come and gone forever. I hope that I will never again pass up a chance to share God with others.
Sometimes I am so exhausted that when I go run my errands I find myself not reflecting God but rather my terrible additude or I am so preoccupied with what I need or came for that I don't even take the time to ask the cashier how she's doing. I need to remember that these 4 walls and the people in them are just the beginning. Yes I do have a ministry here at home but it can't stop here,it has to just begin here!
Share at that moment before, like your first kiss, it's gone forever!

It's bitter sweet

The last week of school can be so sweet and so sad.. As excited as I am about summer and all, I have to admit I am a bit sad about saying good-bye to another year. This is not out of the ordinary for me it's just that this time of year is a reminder that my kids are growing up and fast!
As my oldest moves on to High school I must ask the question"where does the time go?" It does not seem all that long ago he was going to Kindergarten. Not to mention my twins who were just born are now going to Kindergarten! So I know the time will come all to soon when they will be going to High school themselves! That is the scary thing when you can SEE how time flys! I am just wishing I had a remote control for time. There are times where I would press the "fast forward" button, times where I want to "rewind" and then press "play" though I would probably live in "pause" for the most part! I guess that is one of many reasons why it is better that God is in control of time and not me!!! I am just starting to notice more and more each day the cycle of life! Though I am sure it is suppose to be a beautiful thing, I am just not seeing it that way right now! But for now I am just going to focus on how great this summer is going to be and make the most of it! Before you know it, it too will be over.

Life is Short

I came home tonight to read and email from a good friend about a little baby (that we both have been reading about since Feb.) that passed away today. I was just in tears over his family, praying for comfort for them. As a mom my heart is just broken. I just thank my God for my children and am reminded how short life is and that none of us are guaranteed any certain number of days. That we ALL should just take every moment and live them as if it were your last. Words cannot describe what my children mean to me. I don't want to leave one minute up for a regret. Hug your babies tighter tonight tell them how much they are loved!

Rain,rain, don't go away

On days like today when the rain was pouring, it's soaking wet outside and all outdoor activites have been cancelled it can seem so dull and boring( since our family is very much an outdoor activity type). But the day was so perfect and just what our family needed. Just to be able to relax ,not have to be ANYWHERE and just to lay low for a day! Though I think the rain is gone for the rest of the day it was just enough to get everything cancelled and for that I would like to give praise to God for giving our family what we need and just when we needed it... each other!!!
